What to Expect

Good teaching alone is not enough to make healthy disciples.  The Isla Vista School of Discipleship (IVSOD) adds the key ingredient: a supportive learning community. It is in community that students of all backgrounds challenge one another to grow, discover and apply God's Word in practical ways. If you are ready to move from merely hearing truth to actually knowing and living it out, this is the school for you.

Classes run from 4 to 8 weeks—paralleling the UCSB quarter system—and range from one to two hours in length. Most classes will come with a book that will deepen your understanding of the topic under discussion. Weekly assignments and required reading will equip you to dig deeper into an array of exciting topics. Some classes use an online forum where students can share their work and engage in discussion and commentary.

Tuition:
The cost ranges from $10 - $40 per class depending on course length and materials.
